Sea Witch’s Cavern is based in Gloucershire in the Cotswolds  and is run by Anna Hayward with an online store selling handmade jewellery and other giftware.

When my partner, Terry and I started direct selling with jewellery parties and craft fayres we were disappointed by the commercialism of many of the Fayres.

As the event organisers were obviously wanting to make a profit from the stallholders, we found that the fees for a stall were comparitively high and the space allocated was minimal. At some Fayres we did, there so many tables that getting in and out was like navigating an obstacle course.

Terry and I decided to organise our own Craft Fayres  with the idea firmly in mind of what we would like as a stallholder. As both of us exhibit we don’t need to make a profit from the stallholders just cover the cost of village halls and the advertising costs.

We limit the number of exhibitors so that everyone has plenty of space. We don’t  allow duplicate products so that there is a nice variety of goods on offer and none of the stallholders are in competition with each other.

We are building a network of friendly crafts people so that our craft fayres are enjoyable for both exhibitors and customers alike.
